Stephen Ministry

Picture
Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations.  Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Once a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.  Martins Creek currently has 18 Stephen Ministers who are trained and equipped to minister to the needs of people. To learn more about being a Stephen Minister, or about receiving care from a Stephen Minister, contact one of our Stephen Leaders, Jay or Vicki Conn - 330.674.1242

MCMC Visitation Team

There are seasons of life when people find themselves unable to attend church services or activities.  For many this is a time when they feel disconnected and discouraged.  As brothers and sisters in Christ, as members of the Body of Christ, we commit to being intentional in providing alternative opportunities to help people feel connected to the church.

Martins Creek has a Visitation Team made up of people who commit to spending time with those who, for one reason or another, are unable to come to church on Sundays or other events and activities.  This Visitation Team brings the church to others, providing meaningful and encouraging interactions with the Body of Christ.
